Quinoa, White Organic 500g
Due to its remarkable nutritional profile, the United Nations has classified quinoa as a ‘super crop’. Rich in high-quality protein, this creamy, crunchy grain contains a well-balanced mix of all essential amino acids including lysine, which is vital for tissue growth and development. It also provides a host of other nutrients such as iron, copper, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, complex carbohydrates and vitamins.
Being naturally gluten-free with low GI, quinoa is ideal for people prone to food allergies. High on the versatility scale, quinoa can be substituted for almost any grain in almost any recipe.
HOW TO
Rinse under running water. In a pot, put in a cup of quinoa with two cups of water or stock (for added flavour), cover and bring to the boil. Reduce heat to simmer until all liquid is absorbed, about 15-20 minutes.
