Flaxseed, Brown Whole Organic 500g
A nutrition superstar, flaxseed (linseed) is an excellent source of dietary fibre, and delivers protein, essential fatty acids, plus a host of other nutrients that are beneficial for good health.
Its pleasant, nutty taste lends another flavour dimension to salads, soups, yoghurts, cereals and baked goods.
HOW TO USE
It is best to grind flaxseeds before using, or chew them very well; otherwise they pass through the body undigested. Use a rolling pin, mortar & pestle or blender. Organic Flaxseeds can be ground with almonds and sunflower seeds to make fresh LSA.
- Ground Flaxseeds, or LSA, can be added to smoothies, acai bowls, and quinoa or oat porridge.
- A wonderful addition to baked muffins and cookies and bread mixes.
- Add flaxseeds to muesli bars and energy balls.
- Sprinkle flaxseeds over cereal, yoghurt, salads, steamed veggies or hotpots.
