Fennel Seeds, Organic 100g
Fennel is a highly aromatic and flavoursome herb with culinary and medicinal uses dating back thousands of years. Fennel seeds have a similar taste to aniseed and are one of the primary ingredients of absinthe. Fennel has been found to aid with digestive complaints, such as flatulence and indigestion, and also to increase breastmilk in nursing mothers.
HOW TO USE
- Use whole fennel seeds or grind them down using a mortar and pestle to release even more flavour.
- For crunchy and flavoursome fennel seeds, fry them in a pan over a medium heat for a couple of minutes.
- Use fennel seeds to flavour meat, fish and veggie dishes, as well as breads and chutneys.
- Use as a tasty salad topper mixed with any other combination of roasted nuts and seeds.
- Chew after meals as a breath freshener and to aid with digestion of the meal you have just eaten.
