Nutritional yeast adds a punch of flavour to almost any food and is a great cheese substitute. Known as a rich source of B-vitamins and high in protein and fibre, nutritional yeast flakes add a delicious, nutty, cheesy flavour to your favourite savoury dishes. Not only does nutritional yeast taste amazing, it is also full of the important vitamin B12, which in many vegetarian or vegan diets is hard to obtain.

HOW TO

• Try adding nutritional yeast flakes to your cheesy pasta sauces.
• Add into your fresh coriander or basil pesto for a deliciously salty hit.
• Combine nutritional yeast flakes with tahini for a tasty dip, or use it as a base for sauces and dressings.
• If you like snacking on savoury popcorn or kale chips, sprinkle nutritional yeast flakes over your popped kernels or roasted kale for a moreish cheesy flavour.
• Add a few spoons to smashed avocado, savoury pancakes, crepes, scrambled eggs and omelettes.
• For a simple addition into your diet, sprinkle nutritional yeast flakes over fresh salads, soups and Buddha Bowls, like you would with salt and pepper.
• For any homemade vegan cheeses, nutritional yeast is an absolute must!
