Rutin is a citrus bioflavonoid found in a wide variety of plants including citrus fruit. It is a powerful phytochemical, derived from Japanese Sophora. The Japanese Sophora is a tree native to China and Japan. It has been used through history in traditional Chinese medicine as its fruits are a rich source of bioflavonoids. Bioflavonoids are present in almost all fruits, vegetables and herbs, and are classified as phytochemicals.
Rutin may support the strengthening of blood vessels, so may be used for varicose veins, internal bleeding, hemorrhoids, and to prevent strokes due to broken veins or arteries (hemorrhagic strokes).
Rutin has in the past been also used to prevent a side effects of some cancer treatment called mucositis. This painful condition is marked by swelling and ulcer formation in the mouth or lining of the digestive tract.

DIRECTIONS
