Directions

Recommended Level: Mix with water or juice.

Adults & Children over 9 years: Up to 15 drops.

Children 4-8 years: Up to 4 drops.

Children 1-3 years: Up to 3 drops.

Ingredients

Active Ingredient in 1 drop:

Zinc (from zinc sulfate) 1mg

Also contains: Purified water, citric acid, sodium citrate and potassium sorbate.
No Added: Sugar, artificial colours, sweeteners, flavours or preservatives.

Precautions

  • Zinc competes with copper for absorption. Other minerals (most notably calcium and iron) can adversely affect zinc absorption if supplemented at high levels. If you are taking high levels of other individual minerals, postpone zinc supplementation to a different time of day.

Drug Interactions

  • H2-receptor antagonists : This medication may reduce the absorption of zinc in the digestive tract.
  • Tetracyclines : Zinc may reduce the absorption of these medications when taken together. Take zinc at least 2 hours before or after medication.
  • Calcium, Copper, Iron : Elevated body stores or increased intake of these nutrients may lead to decreased absorption and decreased levels of zinc.
  • Dietary Fibre : Dietary fibre may decrease the absorption of zinc when taken together.
  • ACE Inhibitors, Clofibrate, Corticosteroids, Ethambutol, Loop diuretics, Oral contraceptives, Penicillamine, Thiazide diuretics, Valproic acid, Zidovudine : These medications may affect normal zinc levels.
